Petit-Cap, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Cormier, 88, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her residence.

Born in Petit-Cap, NB, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and the late Mathilde Léger (Richard).

Yvonne will be missed by her children: Claudia Léger (late Léandre) of Shediac, Denise Richard (Zoël) of Petit-Cap, Gisèle Richard (Donald) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Jeannine Léger (Ovide) of Trois-Ruisseaux, Victor Cormier (Sandra Gallant) of Petit-Cap and Debbie LeBlanc (Paul Cormier) of Cap-Pelé; her siblings: Joe Léger of Shediac, Colestie Després and Alban Léger (Denise) both of Petit-Cap; her grandchildren: Tracy, Wendy, Victor, Mario, Karine, Mathieu, Zöe, Randy and Ashley; her great grandchildren: Dante, Alexis, Jessy, Randy, Hayle, Annabelle, Aaliyah, Courtney and Damien; her special friend and neighbour: Bernadette Boudreau;  also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Roméo; her sisters: Léona, Yvrette, Marguerite, Delia and Anita; her brothers: Donald and “Ti Boy”.

Yvonne enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially playing bingo, quilting and spending time in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for her family and friends.

As per Yvonne’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Burial will take place in Shemogue at a later date.
