R. Oscar Godin, 81, passed away peacefully at K.E. Spencer Memorial Home on Monday, February 9, 2026. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Leo and Annette (nee Friolet) Godin.

Oscar worked for many years with Home Hardware. He enjoyed tinkering with tools and anything with a motor, woodworking, mackerel fishing, playing pool and darts, bowling, karaoke and singing.

He will be sadly missed by his children, Brigitte Hogan (Terry) and Maurice Godin (late Kim); grandchildren, Melanie and Melody; great grandchildren, Mileah, Alexis, Hailey and Josée; sisters, Corrine (Jean-Guy), Collette (Valmond) and Mariette; brothers, Guy (Mireille) and Roland (Huguette); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Finn Godin; and brothers, Gilles and Martin.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 1:00 pm.
