1948 – 2026
Maureen Deikoff McMurray (nee Trott) of Penobsquis, NB, passed away on Friday February 6, 2026 at the age of 77. She is lovingly survived by her son, Steven Deikoff of Riverview, NB, and her daughter Tina Deikoff Geyer of Langley, BC, as well as her daughter-in-law, Louise Bohmer of Riverview, NB, her son-in-law Tom Geyer of Langley, BC, and her two grandchildren, Nick and Holly Geyer of Langley, BC.
Born in South Hampton, England in 1948, she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia with her parents in 1958. Four years later, they would move to Nelson, BC, where she would meet and marry John Deikoff. She is fondly remembered for her kindness to all and her loving, giving nature. Maureen always tried to help people and felt a true calling to being a caregiver. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, sewing, and many other hobbies. As a young girl, she was a gifted artist, accepted to The Kootenay School of Art in Nelson, BC, as their youngest ever student.
In keeping with Maureen’s wishes there will be no services held. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre & Fergusons Crematorium, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB (506) 857-9544. Donations in memory of Maureen can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
