1935 – 2026
Lois passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on October 10, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Lois was the daughter of the late Eldon and Winnifred Olmstead (née Snell).

She lived a significant portion of her life surrounded by the British Columbia mountains she so dearly loved, later returning to New Brunswick, where she spent her remaining years. An avid reader, Lois also found great joy in creative quilting and spending quiet hours in her garden. She was always happiest with a cup of tea and a good book, perfectly content with her beloved cats resting nearby.

Lois was predeceased by her husband Gordon Driscoll, her eldest son Brent Driscoll, and her infant brother David Olmstead. She is survived by her sons Greg Driscoll (Debbie) and Mark Driscoll, her grandson Derek Driscoll, and her brother John Olmstead.

The kind presence and heartfelt support of her sister-in-law Joan Fogarty and family brought Lois immense comfort, filling her life with warmth and love. She leaves behind a circle of family and friends who will miss her and remember the moments they shared.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff of Parkland Riverview – Monarch Hall for their care and compassion.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no service; Lois will be remembered quietly by her immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Lois’s memory may be made to PAW (formerly the New Brunswick SPCA) or to a charity of choice.
