1936 – 2026

Elzear Gallant, 89, of Shediac passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Maison Providence on Friday October 9, 2026. Born in Grand Barachois, he was the son of the late Cléophas and Exelda (LeBlanc) Gallant. 

He is survived by his wife Florence of Cap-Pele, daughter, Jessica Breau (Jacques) of Dieppe, step daughter Marianne Dupuis (Danny) of Notre Dame, step sons Terry Doiron (Tina) of Moncton, Brian Doiron (Tina) of Cap-Pele, six grandchildren Zachary, Danyelle, Alexi, Caleb, Katelyn and Monika; and by several nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents Elzear was predeceased by a step son Jeffrey, his four sisters, Bertha Cormier, Léontine Lirette, Marguerite Gallant and Alexina Bourque, and his five brothers Dismas, Euclide, Albert, Rudolph and Loyola. 

In respecting Elzear’s wishes. there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Cremation will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview. there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Donations to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
