James “Jim” Lawrence MacIsaac

July 13, 1963  –  October 9, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Lawrence MacIsaac, 63, of Dieppe, New Brunswick, who passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Jim was a loving and devoted husband, a loyal friend, and a kind-hearted man whose generosity, patience, and gentle nature touched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Sherry (Bertin) MacIsaac, and their beloved four-legged companion, Allie, who brought so much joy and love into their lives. He is also survived by his aunts, Anges Landry, Loretta MacDonald, and Beatrice Walser, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret (Fougere) MacIsaac; his brother, Ryan MacIsaac; and his uncles, Burkey Fougere and Johnnie Fougere.

Jim was a skilled and dedicated industrial mechanic and machinist who proudly devoted 25 years of service to Emmerson Packaging (Amherst, NS). Known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and dedication, Jim took great pride in his profession. His knowledge, experience, and the friendships he made throughout the years were an important part of his life.

In his spare time, Jim enjoyed a good round of golf and was an avid sports fan. He faithfully cheered on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, through the wins and the many heartbreaking losses, and enjoyed watching his Toronto Blue Jays play baseball. His loyalty to his favourite teams never wavered, no matter how much they tested his patience.

Jim will be deeply missed by his close friends, Mike Brine, Randy Rafuse, and Bill Weeks, along with his many friends and work colleagues.

Above all, Jim will be remembered for his gentle heart, his quiet strength, and the unconditional love he gave so freely. He was a man who appreciated life’s simple pleasures and understood that the little things were never as important as the people he loved.

His passing leaves an immeasurable emptiness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but the memories he created and the love he shared will live on forever.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

As per the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. A celebration of Jim’s life will be announced at a later date.  Jim’s arrangements have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995).

For those wishing to make a donation in Jim’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences for Jim’s family can be shared at
