1954 – 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Iris Wilbur on May 10, 2026 at The Moncton Hospital.  Born in Moncton, Iris the daughter of the late Douglas and Viola (Glendenning) Wilbur.

Iris was loyal and dedicated to her career of 45 years with Lounsburys.

When Iris and the family moved to Riverview in 1976, she always remembered her roots and connections in Lower Cape. She loved her Lindsay Street neighbors who were like gold to her and the family home.  There was no bigger fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs than Iris.  She loved going to the Homestead Restaurant weekly to chat with the wonderful staff and to enjoy the famous Lemon Meringue Pie and hopes all will continue going there to enjoy a piece of pie in her memory.

Her family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Riverview Fire Department and to the Nursing Staff at The Moncton Hospital. 

Iris leaves her brother Vernon to grieve along with his wife Vicky of Stoney Creek, her nephew Tyler, as well as her Uncle George.

In keeping and respecting Iris’ wishes, a private graveside service will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Shediac, NB to be together again with her parents, Viola and Douglas Wilbur.
