Geraldine Saunders, 96 of K.E Spencer Memorial Home, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Born in Iona, NS, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Sadie Tracey.

Mom was an active member of St. Augustine’s Catholic Women’s league. She volunteered at the Capital for 20 years. She taught Learn to skate to children as she loved skating as child and skated up until she hit 80 yrs old, a square dancer in the early years and she loved to bowl . Mom was the most happiest with family around her.

Thanks to all the staff at Spencer’s for the wonderful care mom received during her years there.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Patricia Thomas, Don Saunders (Linda), Paul Saunders and Mike Saunders (Christine); 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; as well as her several nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Murray Saunders; daughter, Joanne; two sisters; and one brother.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held in the Chapel at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) at a date and time to still be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Moncton Hospital.
