December 13, 1947  –  March 29, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Newman Patton, 78, on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Born in Halifax, NS he was the son of the late Harold Patton SR and Grace (Feltmate).

Harold was a devoted father to his sons, Harold Jr. and David, and their mother, Sandra. He was a proud grandfather to Jordan, Mason, and Aiden. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Isabella, Caleb, Jade, and Jada. Harold will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Harold dedicated many years of his career to working at the Halifax Infirmary, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing, going for drives, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

He had a special pride in his cars and was always eager to share the great deals he found with those around him. Harold was rarely seen without a Diet Coke in hand, a small detail that those who knew him will always remember with a smile.

A man of generosity and compassion, Harold donated blood for over 25 years, helping countless others through his selfless contributions.

Harold will be remembered for his love of family, his kindness, and the quiet ways he made life better for those around him.

Arrangements in the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Rd Moncton, NB (506-858-1995).

Interment service will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (33 Old Sackville Rd, Lower Sackville, NS B4C 2R3) on Friday, April 17th at 1pm. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
