August 11, 1948 – March 27, 2026
Peacefully took his last jump home on March 27, 2026, at The Moncton Hospital, reuniting with his siblings, Roger and Roberta, his former wife, Josette, and his parents, Robert and Marie Doucette.
A proud former paratrooper, JJ was a man of strength and laughter, and a great best friend to many. His presence was bold and unmistakable—his roar could fill a room, yet his heart was even bigger, always protecting and loving those around him. His personality was larger than life, and the void he leaves behind feels even greater. He loved the outdoors—whether fishing, hunting, or golf—but above all, he was an unforgettable storyteller who could captivate everyone around him. A true light in any room, JJ had a way of drawing people in and making moments last.
He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Kathy; his daughter, Kendra; his step-sons, Nathan (Sherry) and Andrew (Nicole); his siblings, Ronnie (Joanne), Anne (France), Jackie (Richard), and Don (Collette); the Doucette family matriarch, Tante Lune, whom he loved dearly; and his grandchildren, who will carry his spirit forward.
In his honour, go fishing, hit a bucket of balls, or share a story of a man who truly lived life to the fullest.
In respecting John’s wishes there will be no services. John’s arrangements have been entrusted into the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Rd Moncton, NB (506-858-1995).
