The Food Depot Alimentaire has officially taken over Garrison Building.
President Dale Hicks tells us they received the keys last month, and the search has begun for a Contractor to draw up some plans. Next, the approval from the building inspectors and then the renovations can get underway.
Hicks says if all goes as planned, they hope to be open by April.
When they open, they will be set up to operate as a food bank and Hicks expects the the Thrift store will also be open. There are future plans to have a community garden, and a teaching kitchen.
