The RCMP is hoping to encourage more women to become police officers.
A recruiting campaign is currently underway across the country.
Constable Isabelle Beaulieu says they’re looking to increase its ratio of female officers from 21 per cent to 30 per cent.
She says women offer a different perspective on policing and also have a different approach into resolving problems and also developing relationships in the communities they serve.
