Always be wary of getting a call out of nowhere that tries to get you to part with your hard earned cash.
The Financial and Consumer Services Commission in Saint John reports a number of people in the province have been receiving such calls from foreign companies pitching investments.
The Commission is accusing Sachs International based in London, England and Charles King, a self-identified senior adviser with Sachs along with Stratus Financial Group International based in Costa Rica and Ken Powers, a self-identified representative of Stratus of violating the Securities Act.
Hearings are scheduled for October 21st.
