The fate of St. Pat’s Family Centre may be decided in early October after the announcement of a special general meeting.
Our newsroom was given a copy of the memo sent to centre members, showing the meeting is about a proposal to sell the property to Heritage Developments.
Voting members – which means anyone with an annual membership – are being asked to consider motions transferring ownership of the lands and assets to new entities.
The agenda shows the centre would be leased back to newly incorporated St Pats 2018 for one dollar per year.
The memo states the objective of the sale is to keep the centre open.
Anyone is welcome to the meeting at 6:30 October 9th at the Moncton Lions Club, but only full members will be allowed to vote.
Friends of St. Pat’s member Melanie Coté says while she’s excited, she wishes members were allowed to look over all offers instead of just this one.
