Southeast District RCMP arrested five people after interrupting a break and enter in progress in Little River – south of Salisbury.
Officers say they received a call on January 31st around 6:30 at night saying there was a house being robbed on Little River Road.
When they arrived on the scene, they found five suspects between the ages of 22 and 32 on the premises.
Four men and one woman are under arrest.
The investigation so far has revealed the robbers attempted to steal several firearms and caused extensive damage to the home.
A search of a suspect vehicle found a quantity of alcohol, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia.
Three suspects are in custody, and will appear in Moncton Court later this week.
The other two have been released so far and will appear in court at a later date.
