The Saint John Police Department are currently receiving applications to join the force.
Chief John Bates says the recruiting process is underway right now and hasn’t closed yet.
Bates says the goal is to hire four new officers, which would be one member per platoon.
He says they’d like to have the new members in their blue suits before the summer.
