Will the Energy East pipeline be built in the face of opposition from the First Nations and mayors in the Montreal area?
The Conservative M-L-A Glen Savoie represents Saint John East where the Irving Oil Refinery is located and tells us he’s barely cautiously optimistic at this point.
Savoie is worried the Prime Minister will pay more attention to the views of 50 plus Liberal M-P’s who represent swing ridings in Quebec than he will to the 10 M-P’s who represent ridings in New Brunswick.
Savoie is accusing Prime Minister Trudeau of politicising the process and charges Premier Brian Gallant has failed to persuade him to get on board.
