The Atlantic Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation Kevin Lacey believes the Energy East pipeline will be built because it makes economic sense and the region badly needs it in order to grow.
Lacey also isn’t ready to write off shale gas in spite of what’s happening with prices right now.
He argues Energy East would also give the region a badly needed psychological boost by infusing other businesses with optimism to invest and grow. According to Lacey, that might be as important as the economic arguments in favour.
