The name of a man shot and killed by Bathurst police has now officially been released by RCMP.
Fifty-one-year-old Michel Vienneau of Tracadie-Sheila was shot on Monday morning near the VIA Rail station. Officers were involved in an ongoing investigation at the time when shots were fired.
Nova Scotia RCMP are handling the investigation, and an area around the station was blocked off for several days.
There’s no word on when they will wrap up their investigation or whether or not any further details will be released.
