NDP Leader Dominic Cardy asking for a moment of silence from those gathered where he announced he’s running in the Saint John East by-election.
Cardy says its difficult to see this in our own country’s capital.
He says its very clear that ISIS had instructed people around the world in Western countries over the last few days
to undertake lone attacks to strike at the heart of the enemy which he says is us.
Cardy says we have to show them we are not afraid and these appalling acts in Ottawa will not shake us.
