February 18, 1949  –  July 16, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wayne Weldon, on Thursday, July 16, 2026. He was the son of the late Jean and Dean Weldon.

Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Murielle (Lirette) Weldon; his son Wayne DJ (Deanna) Weldon; daughter Shelley (Pierre) Weldon. Wayne’s most treasured gifts; his granddaughter Tanya Bourque and his grandson Eric Bourque.

Wayne is also survived by Leo Lirette, whom he loved very much. As well as many close friends and cousins; including Junior (Barb) Poirier from New Jersey, who was like the brother he never had.

Wayne enjoyed his sessions on the weekend with the boys at Tim Hortons. A dedicated volunteer, he generously gave his time to the Food Bank and, more recently, served as a Salvation Army Christmas Kettle volunteer.

He was a very kind man and helped anyone in need. Earth’s loss is Heavens gain.

At Wayne’s request there will be no visitation or funeral Service. Arrangements are in the care of Fergusons Funeral Home & Fergusons Crematorium, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton (506-858-1995).

In Wayne’s memory donations can be made to the Lung Association.
