Rolande Ouellette

1940 ~ 2026

Surrounded by love, Rolande passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. Full of love and compassion Rolande was always one to give a helping hand to family and friends. She was the loving wife of Guildor for 67 years and a devoted mother to her 4 children, Mike, twins Jim and Jack and her daughter Norma. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Born in St-Léonard N.B, she moved to Saint John shortly after getting married to follow her husband’s dream of owning his own business. Rolande worked as a home maker raising her 4 children, and also fostering other children, so we know that was definitely a challenging and full time job. Later, when the children grew up she became a hairdresser and then cared for the elderly at a nursing home. Her talents showed through her painting and crafts which she loved to do. We must also remember she loved the competition of bowling!

Travelling to Florida as a ‘snow bird’ for 13 years to escape the cold and snow of New Brunswick, they had numerous friends and relatives in Florida all having fun dancing and playing pétanque.

Rolande was born of Gertrude and Romeo and had 5 siblings. She was predeceased by Don and Gemma and is survived by Norman, Annette and Elmer.

Thank you from Guildor and our family for all your support and love. God will now take over and take care of Rolande.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the physicians and staff of Monarch Hall in Riverview for the excellent care and compassion shown to Rolande during her stay.
