It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie-Paule Richard, 87, on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at the Maison Providence in Shediac.
Born in Notre-Dame, she was the daughter of the late Hypolite and the late Marie Babineau (Cormier).
Marie-Paule will be sadly missed by her children: Michel Richard (Lise Belliveau) of Memramcook, Daniel Richard (Tammy) of Shediac, and Joanne Richard of Shediac; her grandchildren: Isabelle, Jessica, and Jason; her great grandchildren: Harlow and Hannah; her brothers: Victor Babineau (late Marjorie) and Louis Babineau (Viollette) both of Dieppe; her sister, Francine LeBlanc (Georges) of Notre-Dame; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Marie-Paule devoted 17 years of dedicated service to Villa Providence in Shediac. Even after her years of employment, her commitment continued as she generously volunteered her time at the Villa Providence. In her free time, she found great joy in solving crosswords, playing bingo, enjoying live music, and listening to Radio Beauséjour (CJSE).
In keeping with the family’s wishes, a private celebration will be held for close family members.
