Bernard Girouard

1943 – 2026

Bouctouche Cove, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Girouard, 83, on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026.

Born in Bouctouche Cove, NB, he was the son of the late Eddie and the late Helene (Leger) Girouard.

Prior to his retirement, he worked as a painter. Bernard was a proud member of AA for the past 43 years.

He is survived by his daughters: Deneige Comeau of Bouctouche Cove and Dorina (Roland) of Scoudouc; by his sons: Daniel (Michelle) of Notre-Dame and Denis (Chantal) of Bouctouche; by his grandchildren: Bernard, Rachelle, Nicole, Chrissie, Jessica, Lucie, Luc, Alex, Lucas, Dorie, Allain, Armand, Emilie and Chantal; 11 great grandchildren; by his sisters: Marie Relel of Sudbury, ON, Fernande LeBlanc (Reginald) and Claudine Cormier (late Alvin), both of Bouctouche and Josephine Dallaire (late Reginald) of Shediac, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (Albert) Girouard (2019); by his daughter, Donna (2025) and by his grandson, Christian.

Visitation will be held from Passage-Maillet, 29 de l’Église Street, Bouctouche, NB, (506) 743-2207, on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, from 10 am to noon and from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, followed by the funeral at St-Jean-Baptiste RC Church at 4 pm.

Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery in the spring.
