June 8, 1937  –  March 30, 2026

Louis M. Nickerson, 88, of Veterans Health Centre, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, March 30. 2026. Born in Forbes Point, NS, he was the son of the late Lendal and Elfleda (nee Murphy) Nickerson.

Upon completing High School, Louis entered the Royal Canadian Air Force where he served for several years. Louis began his working career in the lab for Scotia Marine; he then went on to have a long career with GE in Saint John. He was a proud Veteran and was always happy to take part in the annual Remembrance Day Ceremonies. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds. He loved his cat “Big Boy”.

He will be sadly missed by his sisters, Ruthann Cameron (Ivan), Iris Lawson and Amy Cameron; as well as several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation hours or funeral service. Interment will be held at Forbes Point Cemetery, in Forbes Point, NS at a later date.

Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) have been entrusted with arrangements.
