Jonathan “Jo” Blais

1975 – 2026

It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we announce the sudden passing of Jonathan Blais, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, brother, uncle, teammate, coach and friend.

Jonathan was the kind of person who didn’t just enter a room, he filled it. Bigger than life, full of energy, laughter, emotion, and love, he had a way of bringing people together wherever he went. He made everyone feel welcome, valued, and included. If Jonathan loved you, you knew it.

Above all else, Jonathan was devoted to his family. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Sophie Gaudet, and his three beautiful children, Kyana, Lyam, and Ellie, who were truly his entire world. He was their biggest supporter, their safe place, their role model, and the kind of father every child deserves. His love for them could be seen in everything he did.

Jonathan also leaves behind countless family members, friends, teammates, hockey families, and children whose lives he touched deeply. The overwhelming amount of love and heartbreak being shared is a true reflection of the incredible impact he had on so many people.

He will be forever missed for his laugh, his hugs, his stories, his tears, and the way he made every moment brighter simply by being there.
