Bouctouche NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jeannita Duplessis, 83, of Bouctouche on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste Bouctouche NB.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, on April 8, 1942, she was married to the late Noël Duplessis (2024) and the daughter of the late Edouard “Ned” Duplessis and the late Hélèna (née Allain) Duplessis.
She is survived by her daughters: Maria (Bermand) Allain of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent and Nicole Duplessis (Bernie) of Bouctouche, her son-in-law Roberto Larias of the United States. She also leaves five grandchildren: Mathieu (Julie) Colin (Kristen), April, Tyler (Josée) and Jeffrey (Janice), three great grandchildren: Aurora, Hunter and Kai and a sister-in-law Florine Duplessis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Beside her husband and parents, Jeannita was predeceased by her daughter Marie-Paule Melanson (2025) three sisters: Gemma, Yolande, Marie-Paule and one brother, Maurice
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste for the care given to Jeannita.

Visitation will be held from Passage Maillet, 29 rue de l’Eglise Bouctouche, NB, on Wednesday, March 11th, 2026, from 3 pm to 3:50 pm, followed by the service in the chapel at 4 pm.
