Bouctouche, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Henri Maillet, aged 95, who passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the Stella-Maris Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent.

He was the beloved husband of Geneva Maillet (née Allain) and the son of the late Theotime Maillet and the late Alma Maillet (née Arsenault).

Henri will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 69 years, Geneva Maillet; his children: Annise Richard (Sylvio) and Gilles (Tina), both of Richibucto-Village; Denise Richard (Maurice) and Roger (Johanne), both of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent; Normand (Ute) of Shediac; and Carole Després (Réal) of Cocagne. He also leaves to mourn his siblings: Doris Léger (late Henri) of Richibucto-Village and Guy (Lina) of Memramcook; one sister-in-law, Alberta, of Richibucto-Village; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Henri worked for the Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator for over 30 years before retiring.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his three sisters: Delima, Elmire, and Marie; and his three brothers: René, Zoël, and Emilien.

In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral service will be held at a later date.
