1942 ~ 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Georgine Girouard, 83, on Friday, March 13, 2026, at The Moncton Hospital.

Born in Bouctouche on May 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Henry Richard and the late Violette Richard (née Hébert), and the wife of the late Iroy Girouard.

Georgine will be sadly missed by her son, Kevin (Jennifer) Girouard of Apache Junction, AZ, USA; her sisters: Edna Vautour (Eric) of Moncton and Joanne Sumners (David) of Riverview; her brothers: Léandre (Anne) and John (Rob Goodhand) both of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister Alice.

Donations in memory of Georgine may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

In respecting Georgine’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.

A grave side service will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont-Carmel cemetery in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent on August 13, 2026, at 11am.
