1960 – 2026

Francine Marie Cohoon of Riverview, NB, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Dr. G. L. Dumont University Hospital on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Born in Quebec, Francine was the daughter of Alma Gauvin and the late Clarence Gauvin.

Francine was the co-owner of Terry’s Bake Shop, a business she proudly operated alongside her husband, Terry, for over 30 years. She was truly the heart of the bakery. Known for her warmth and joyful spirit, Francine had a way of lighting up every room she entered. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her smile was genuinely contagious.

She will be deeply missed by her loving mother, Alma Gauvin of Moncton; her devoted husband, Terry Cohoon; her daughter, Jessica Cohoon (Brennan Bredo) of Moncton; her cherished grand-dogs, Moose and Eeyore, whom she adored; and her brother, Mike Gauvin of Ontario; also by several nieces and nephews.

Francine was predeceased by her father, Clarence Gauvin; mother-in-law, Ruth Cohoon and father-in-law, Coonie Cohoon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fergusons Riverview Community Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB (506) 857-9544 on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.

In memory of Francine, donations may be made to the Bannon House Cancer Resource Centre and would be greatly appreciated.
