Saint-Antoine, N.B. – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Antoine Richard, aged 98, Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Dr. Georges L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, N.B.

Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, N.B., on February 18, 1927, he was the beloved husband of the late Elodie Richard (née Allain) and the son of the late Johnny Richard and the late Marie Richard (née Babineau).

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Lise and husband Jean Goguen. Antoine also leaves his two grandchildren, Jérémie (Erica) of Gatineau QC, and Gabriel (Marie-France) of Shediac. His four great-grandchildren Félix, August, Cédric and Julien.

He also leaves to mourn his brother, Ulysse Richard (late Rita), his sisters, Lorraine Goguen (late Alcide), Corinne LeBlanc (late Léo), Rose-Marie LeBlanc (late Godfrey), Juliette Robichaud (late Basile), Jeannine LeBlanc (Ronnie), and two brothers in law, Norman LeBlanc, Harold McGrath, and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Antoine was predeceased by siblings, Orise, Yvonne, Rita, Thérèse, Cécile, Flora, Normand, Edgar, Françis and Stella.

Antoine was a school bus driver before taking his retirement. He would always love to go for drives with his son-in-law at their camp, moments he cherished deeply.

Visitation will be at Passage-Maillet on Wednesday February 11, 2026, from 1pm to 3h15 pm and a funeral service will be held at the Notre-Dame du Sacré Coeur church in Notre-Dame-de-Kent Church at 4pm on February 11, 2026.
