Aline Cormier

1949 ~ 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Aline Cormier on May 5, 2026, at the age of 76. Born in Memramcook on August 16, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Honoré Dupuis and the late Ella Melanson.

She has now reunited with her beloved husband, the late Camille Cormier (2021).

She leaves to mourn her three children: Julie (Stephen Barker), Stéphane (Angela), and Monik (Michel Thériault); her cherished grandchildren: Miriam and Ian Barker, as well as Noah Thériault. She also leaves behind her brothers: Alonzo Dupuis (late Jacqueline Poirier), Rhéal Dupuis (Hélène), and Édouard Dupuis (Majella Léger), along with many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and dear friends.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Juliette and Béatrice, as well as her brother, Omer Dupuis.

A dedicated teacher for many years, Aline deeply cared about the success and well-being of her students. She taught at Dover and Vanier schools and concluded her career at Anna-Malenfant School. Through her commitment and kindness, she touched the lives of several generations of students.

Highly involved in her community, she served on the boards of the Cercle Jacqueline-Colette and the Résidence Aboiteau de Saint-Anselme. Through her involvement with the Cercle, she helped support the mission of the Fondation Marichette and promote this noble cause throughout the province. She was also an active member of the Association des aînées et aînés francophones du Nouveau-Brunswick.

Full of life and always happy to share meaningful moments with her many friends, Aline was known for her warm hospitality, contagious laughter, and great generosity. Naturally curious and passionate about learning, she loved discovering new things and taking an interest in the world around her. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will remember a caring, unifying, and deeply compassionate woman.
