Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Gail Shea announcing new measures for Atlantic Salmon recreational angling throughout the Gulf Region.
Anglers will be able to continue to fish Salmon as a catch and release fishery only in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
This measure has already been in place in P.E.I and on some parts of the Miramichi river.
Anglers will also be required to use artificial flies and a single barbless hook during salmon angling season.
