NB Department Of Health Releases Updated Influenza Numbers

As many continue to focus on concerns over the coronavirus, influenza cases are still rising across New Brunswick.

Six people have died in New Brunswick between August and the end of February, as a result of an illness associated with the flu.

177 people have been hospitalized.

During that same time period, 1784 people have been diagnosed with influenza, either the A or B strain or a combination of both.

The Department of Health says the best way to prevent the flu is to get a shot.
