A 38-year-old Montreal man will appear in Campbellton Provincial Court this spring in connection with the deaths of two young boys.
Jean-Claude Savoie was arrested in Montreal yesterday but he was released from custody last night.
Four-year-old Noah Barthe and his six-year-old brother Connor both died on August 5, 2013 in Campbellton.
Autopsies found the boys died after being suffocated by an African rock python that was in the same apartment where the boys were having a sleepover.
RCMP have refused to release the man’s name and say that information along with any charges will be announced during his court appearance on April 27.
Jean-Claude Savoie used to own an exotic pet store in Campbellton and was reportedly a friend of the Barthe family.
