Not only is the new Moncton High School that officially opened this week a state of the art facility – it’s probably the safest school in Metro Moncton.
With the new school comes a high tech security system which is equipped with 39 cameras.
Principal Mike BeLong says they’ll be able to keep a closer eye if problems arise in the school but it doesn’t mean that “Big Brother” will be watching all the time.
BeLong says it will be especially helpful in cases like bullying because they’ll be able to investigate matters a little easier.
They’re also encouraging students to come forward to report incidents including vandalism or those who are disobeying the rules..
