A 36-year-old Moncton man is now in custody following two armed robberies in the city this month.
Codiac RCMP say James Simms was charged with armed robbery following an incident on October 4 at a Humphrey Street convenience store.
Police say a man armed with a gun robbed the store and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Mounties now say Simms is facing a second charge of armed robbery following an incident on October 2 at a Scotiabank ATM on Mountain Road.
In that incident, a customer making a cash deposit was approached by a man with a possible handgun demanding money and he fled with the cash.
No one was hurt in either robbery.
Simms is also facing weapons charges and he has been remanded until his next court date on October 22.
