E-cigs are almost more common these days than the old-fashioned paper and tobacco variety.
But Barbara Walls of the New Brunswick Lung Association tells us the news isn’t all good. She says e-cigs are a last resort for some people – especially those who can’t imagine going through a day without picking up a cigarette – but there still hasn’t been enough research into the long-term health effects of the devices.
Walls says prescription medication is a proven, safer alternative for many people – but it comes down to having a plan in place for what you’re going to do when a craving hits.
