Ice Shack Breaks Through In Rothesay

It was quite the sight for onlookers near the Renforth Wharf in Rothesay.

An ice fishing shack went through the ice, but the whole shack didn’t submerge.

Many posted photos and video on social media yesterday.

Constable Corey McAllister of the Kennebecasis Regional Police tell us nobody was inside at the time and nobody was hurt.

Constable McAllister says there was a request for service for them to conduct some traffic because of a front end loader there to take the shack off the ice.

It took a bit of work to pull the shack out and it sustained quite a bit of damage.
