Host Families Still Needed For International Exchange Tour Of The Air Cadets

Host families are still needed for the upcoming International Exchange Tour for the Air Cadets.

They’re coming from all over the world, and Moncton is hosting the Exchange for the first time in over 20 years.

Host Coordinator Sue Madden says about eight to ten families are still needed, “They have to be able to to take two cadets or two officers. Each cadet has to have a separate sleeping area, so they can be in the same room with separate beds or they can have their own room.

A criminal background check and a short interview with the host family is required.

Madden says the host families can provide a good experience for the cadets, “When they get to stay with a whole family, they get to connect with the people. They can connect with Maritimers and see what Maritime life is all about. It’s to get them to get familiar with the foods we eat, what we do for fun, and what we do when we are just relaxing.”

The cadets will be arriving on July 29th, and will be with their host family until July 31st.
