Hometown Hockey In Moncton This Weekend

The one and only Ron MacLean is in town this weekend for Hometown Hockey.

According to Mayor George LeBlanc – Moncton is a city with a long and proud link to hockey and says it’s fitting a Hometown Hockey weekend is here.

LeBlanc says there will be lots of action over the weekend.

“We are very pleased to see we are going to have a rink down at Riverfront Park,” says LeBlanc. “And so there’s going to be lots of excitement and lots of fun happening in downtown Moncton in connection with this event.”

LeBlanc says it’s great to have Ron MacLean here to help Monctonians celebrate what hockey means to this community.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for us to celebrate our city and to celebrate hockey, ” say LeBlanc. “When we talk about heritage, hockey is certainly a part of our heritage.”

The event runs from 12 to 6 Saturday and 1 to 11 on Sunday, and there will be entertainment, giveaways and a live pre game show for the Florida Edmonton game Sunday night.
