Two types of apples are being recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Granny Smith and Gala apples were exported by the Bidart Brothers in the U.S.
The products are being recalled because of a possible listeria contamination.
The apples were sold under the Big B and Granny’s Best brands.
They were sold in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador.
Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to where they were purchased.
Symptoms of listeria include vomiting, nausea, fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.
