Gas Prices Going Down Again In NB

Drivers in New Brunswick can expect another break at the gas pumps this week.

Senior Petroleum Analyst Dan MacTeague with Gasbuddy.com says we should expect at least a 2 cent drop when regulated prices change at midnight.

MacTeague says a lag in prices in the province can be blamed on the partial shutdown of the Saint John Irving Refinery which is about to resume full operations.

Gas prices have been falling steadily in New Brunswick for about a month now but are still much higher than other parts of Canada.

For example, gas is selling for about $1 per litre right now in Alberta compared to an average New Brunswick price of $1.18.
