Shale gas development in the province is dead……..That conclusion being voiced by Jake Stewart, the energy critic for the provincial Conservatives, who claims the job of the fracking commission set up by the Premier to study the issue is to perform an autopsy on the industry.
Stewart is dismissing the commission as a P-R exercise.
Stewart argues, even if the shale gas companies decide to return to New Brunswick, it won’t be for a number of years.
He also claims the people on Bay Street in Toronto are telling him the moratorium has set the province back.
