Cold, Snow Create Spike In Sunshine Travel

Cold and snow have become part of our vocabulary this month and that has many New Brunswickers thinking about a warm getaway in the sunny south at this time of year.

Selloffvacations Moncton branch manager Melanie Doiron says their phones have been ringing off the hook since New Year’s with a number of key destinations being top of mind.

Doiron says Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Cuba are the four most popular all-inclusive vacation spots for Atlantic Canadians.

Doiron says cruises in the Caribbean continue to be popular and are starting to attract younger crowds.

She adds a new option this year is a direct all-inclusive package through Celebrity Cruises from Moncton to Miami which is available February through April.
