Recent storms in the Maritimes has left Canadian Blood Services in desperate need of donations.
Heavy snow and extreme cold temperatures has forced the closure of blood donations clinics over the past few weeks, and blood supply levels are down because of cancelled appointments.
Spokesperson Jacqueline Alain says the need for blood doesn’t stop even in bad weather conditions. She says it is needed all year round.
