Approximately 200 people showed up at the public dialogue session to offer their ideas on how to address the provincial deficit.
Minister Victor Boudreau is in charge of executing the strategic program review, and he was at New Brunswick Community College last night to hear what Monctonians had to say.
He says the government chose to go with a World Cafe style of meeting instead of a town hall because it ensured everyone in the room got a chance to express their opinion.
Boudreau says they will be collecting all the ideas, and deciding what will be used.
He says so far after 8 meetings they have seen common themes emerge like reduced government spending and suggestions to increase the HST and apply tolls to generate revenue.
