Beausejour MP and Federal Minister Dominic LeBlanc Cancer ‘In Complete Remission’

Beausejour MP Dominic LeBlanc is reporting a clean bill of health after successful treatments for chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

In April 2017, LeBlanc was diagnosed with CLL, and began a series of treatments in December of that year with Dr. Nicholas Finn a hematologist-oncologist at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital.

Finn says LeBlanc has no residual side effects from his therapy, and there’s no evidence of leukemia in imagery, or lab tests.

He adds LeBlanc will be monitored over upcoming years if the disease changes from its current state of complete remission.

LeBlanc says with his health back, he’s looking forward to working even harder to improve the lives of all Canadians as Minister of Intergovernmental, and Northern Affairs and Internal Trade.
