The anticipation is building in advance of the opening of the downtown events centre in September.
It is a busy time for Nick DeLuco who is the General Manager for SMG Canada in Moncton.
He says so far, his experience with this new centre has been much like the one in Kingston, Ontario.
“A lot of similarities, and a lot of things that I can use to draw on which is a huge benefit for me,” says DeLuco.
He adds as a whole, it’s the same, “I mean, the parking conversation that is always up is the same one we had in Kingston as well.”
“I mean, building a facility downtown is different than building where it’s been the last 50 years,” says DeLuco.
Several popular shows have already been announced and DeLuco says promoters have had a very positive response to the events centre so far.
