Record Breaking Cold In Greater Moncton

Monday morning was not only frosty but it turned out to be the coldest June 4th in Greater Moncton since weather records began in 1881.

The temperature dipped to -3.2 degrees according to Environment Canada which breaks the old record of -2.2 degrees from 1903.

New record lows were set in numerous communities across New Brunswick.

Grand Manan fell to -2.2 degrees, Bouctouche dropped to -2 degrees and the coldest was in Kouchibouguac at -3.8 degrees.
